On the afternoon of 11th August, DIC Corp held "Preliminarily conference summing up the business performance in the first 6 months and implementing the plan for the last 6 months of 2017" at Cap Saint Jacques Hotel (Vung Tau City).
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan - Chairman of DIC Corp; Mr. Tran Minh Phu - General Director of DIC Corp; members of BOM; members of member units; leaders of all divisions, member units of DIC and all DIC Corp.'s staffs.

Ending the first 6 months of 2017, DIC has achieved many positive changes. DIC has implemented the business plan in 2017 basing on the condition that there were much potential strengths in comparison with 2016. The project has come "golden time to harvest”; DIC's projects include Southern Vinh Yen New Urban Area, Chi Linh Center, Dai Phuoc Eco-Tourism Resort, Phoenix, Gateway, DIC, The Landmark Residence, CSJ etc, with total investment up to VND 1,000 billion, is constructed in very convenient locations. Other projects are under negotiation with partners having economic potentials and experience in term of joint venture contract ... is expected to bring good revenue in 2017 and the next years. In particular, the consensus and support of the various levels of government create favorable conditions for DIC to speed up projects.
Mr. Hoang Van Tang - Deputy General Director of DIC Corp summarized the business performance in the first 6 months of 2017.
Business results in the first 6 months of 2017 of DIC are as follows: Total production value: VND 3,453.4 billion (Increase 10% growth in comparison with the same period of 2016); Total revenue: VND 2,213 billion (Equivalent to the same period of 2016). Total development investment capital: VND 637, 3 billion (Increase 27.6% growth in comparison with the same period of 2016).
Restructuring work is defined as a key task, marking the turning point of DIC Corp in the coming time. According to the roadmap, by 2017, state capital at DIC Corp will fall to 25-30% and the rest will be completely withdrawn in 2018. This DIC Corp’s divestment policy has been approved by the Ministry of Construction.
In the last 6 months of 2017, DIC Corp continues to focus on reviewing and accelerating the restructure of investment capital outside the business, concentrating on the divestment of investments outside the core business or member units having inefficient business performance.
On behalf of the Board of Management, Mr. Hoang Van Tang - Deputy General Director of DIC Corp has presented the target plan for the last 6 months of 2017 and solutions to direct the implementation of DIC. Specifically, total production value will be VND 4,604.2 billion; Total revenue will be VND 3,610.3 billion; Total investment capital will be VND 715.7 billion.
Also, within the conference’s framework, leaders of member units belonging to construction sector, materials sector, service and tourism sector have reported the business performance along with difficulties and advantages, implemented solutions as well as proposed petition to DIC Corp for the remaining 6 months of 2017.
Speaking to sum up the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan - Chairman of DIC, agreed and highly appreciated the DIC’s results achieved in the last 6 months of this year and proposed new plans and tasks to promote DIC’s sustainable development and ask all staffs for focus on successfully accomplishing those goals.
On this occasion, DIC announced the decision to award the 2016 government emulation flag to DIC Corp, DIC Concrete and emulation flag of the Ministry of Construction in 2016 for DIC 4, DIC T & T.
At the meeting, Ms. Phan Thi Mai Huong - Chairman of DIC’s Trade Union launched the donation funding to help Northern mountainous people suffered severe damage from natural disasters.
Chairman of the Board of Directors DIC Corp awarded VND 300 million deducted from the co-fund to support Northern mountainous people.
The donation funding has received enthusiastic response from the whole DIC’s staffs. Counted to 15th August, according to preliminary statistics, DIC has received more than VND 760 million supporting money. Of which, DIC collects VND 300 million from its co-fund; 1-day salary of DIC Corp’s staff: VND 151 million; the member units: nearly VND 284 million and more than VND 26 million from direct donations at the conference. The DIC’s delegation will visit and directly grant those donated money to Northern mountainous people.
